The Pimms cocktail is a cocktail created in 1823 by James Pimm. This delicious drink is prepared with lemonade, Cointreau, cucumber, fruit, and fresh mint. It is a particularly refreshing cocktail, ideal in summer. It is sure to please your guests and will be perfect for an aperitif!
- 18 cl of Pimm’s n°1
- 6 cl of Cointreau
- 1 liter of lemonade
- 3 cl cane sugar syrup
- 1 cucumber
- 1 round tomato
- 1 orange
- 6 limes
- 1 apple
- 1/2 bunch of fresh mint
- ice cubes
- Preparation10 minutes
- 1. Squeeze the limes. Wash the bunch of fresh mints and peel it. Wash all fruits and vegetables. Peel the cucumber and cut it into 6 sticks. Cut the tomato, apple, and orange into slices.TECHNICAL MOVESHow to chop your herbs? How to peel and seed tomatoes easily?
- 2. In each of the glasses, pour 3 cl of Pimm’s, 1 cl of Cointreau, and 0.5 cl of cane sugar syrup and mix well with a spoon.
- 3. Arrange a piece of cucumber, a slice of orange, a slice of tomato in each glass. Divide the lime juice into each of the glasses. Pour lemonade to fill the glasses.
- 4. When ready to serve, add a few fresh mint leaves to each glass as well as a few ice cubes.
If you want to serve this drink for the most important occasions, you can replace the lemonade with Champagne. And to vary the pleasures, replace the tomato with fresh strawberries or raspberries. A true delight!
