- 750g potatoes
- 1 egg
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 C. butter
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- salt pepper

- 1.Peel the potatoes, wash them and grate them. Pat them dry with a towel to remove as much water as possible. Pour the grated potatoes into a bowl.
- 2.Peel the onion and grate it. Add it to the salad bowl and mix well.
- 3.Add egg and flour. Salt and pepper to your liking. Mix everything well to obtain a homogeneous preparation.
- 4.Pour the olive oil and butter into a frying pan and heat over medium heat. When the fat is well melted, place small piles of potatoes in the pan. Heat for 4 mins. then flip the röstis. Continue cooking for 3 minutes. Place the rösti on a plate and repeat the operation until the preparation is used up.
According to your desires and depending on the season, you can make these homemade röstis with other vegetables. Mix, for example, potatoes, carrots, onions and zucchini. Grate all the vegetables well and mix them with the other ingredients. You will get tasty and nicely colored patties.
