Tasting fresh bread that is still warm like at the baker’s for breakfast or serving homemade bread as an accompaniment to dinner with friends is a little pleasure that it would be a shame to deprive yourself of. With this quick and easy bread dough recipe, you won’t have any more excuses.
- 500g type 65 flour
- 150ml lukewarm water
- 10 g of baker’s yeast
- 5g salt
- Preparation10 minutes
- Cooking15 mins
- Rest9:30 a.m.
- 1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, yeast, and water little by little. To make it easier, dig a well in the flour and pour in the other ingredients before mixing everything together.
- 2. Knead until you obtain a soft dough that easily detaches from the sides of the bowl. If your dough is too sticky, feel free to add flour.
- 3. Cut it by hand into 4 large pieces on your work surface. Let it rise for 8 hours in a cold environment, covering it with a clean cloth. Let it rest for 1h30 at room temperature.
- 4. Preheat the oven to th. 7 (210°C). With the blade of a knife, split the loaves of bread dough on top and bake them for 15 minutes. Add a bowl of hot water next to your bread in the oven to maintain a good level of humidity.
The success of your bread depends not only on the bread dough but also and above all on its baking. For it to be perfect, check regularly where the flow of your bread is. Once the crust is nicely browned, your bread should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For a technique like the pros, use a bread maker that will mix all your ingredients just right for the right amount of time. Keep your bread away from light and air to eat it for several days.
